Description
Wicked Monstrous is the seventh printed publication by ecoartspace, including artists selected through our annual call for artists (2025), juried by ecoartspace member and founder of Project Vortex, Aurora Robson.
For this limited edition of 150 books, we've assembled 70 artists selected from 130 who will be included in a separate publication launching November 1 via Lulu print-on-demand. These featured artists have dedicated their practice to making work with and about plastics, including from Europe, Canada, the U.S., Japan, Australia and Africa.

"There is a radical aspect to this workflow. It is a dystopian evolution of Land Art—or Earthworks. Unlike the monumental interventions championed by Robert Smithson or more ephemeral works made in and with nature formed with ecological intent by Agnes Denes, art made from repurposed plastic will simply never return to the earth. Artists employing plastics are working with an immortal medium, forcing a confrontation with the unwholesome synthetic footprint that this material is leaving behind." Aurora Robson
