My main interest is to explore the love/toxic relation between human beings and Nature. This relationship is usually oriented by the desire of control and pillage of the natural world. This human intervention, this “use” and “abuse” turns out to be a moral problem, driving us to a landscape deeply altered by humans, nature wounded to death by progress and civilization. I am also involved in a research on contemporary artistic work and its ecological footprint, in an attempt to critically analyze artistic practice itself.

Deeply concern about saturation of plastic waste, I imagine distopic scenes. I gather and use this material intercepting its way to the waste stream. Through interventions in the natural environment I explore the tension between organic and synthetic, natural and artificial, handcraft and industrial. Plastic has found its way into all aspects of our lives, It´s even defining our geological cycle, in addition to behaving as sediment, plastic also seems to be generating "rocks" that have been called “plastigglomerates” and “pyroplastics”: "stones" made of polyethylene and polypropylene, two of the most commonly used plastics

During the past years I have been exploring ways to transform this descarded plastic materials giving them artistic value.

My work also involves activism denouncing this failure to reduce consumption and negligent management of plastic waste. I believe the artistic aproach is of important value in education and awakening of awareness.

Most of my interventións in the natural environment are ephimeral so they end as photographic images. I´m very conscious about the fragility of image and the reality it represents. I wonder how we perceive the landscape through the inherent decontextualization of the images.
