Earth Remains is an ongoing body of work exploring ecological loss, resilience, and transformation through material-based abstraction. Each painting is composed with foraged earth pigments, wildfire ash, and other elemental materials gathered from sites of environmental disruption. Rather than depicting landscapes, these works emerge with the land—invoking its memory, agency, and spectral presence. Earth Remains is a practice of listening: to what the earth remembers, what it grieves, and what still endures.
