Statement
In the spirit of conservation and wonder, I use Fine Art media, Land Art and Internet projects to create works that address human and environmental themes of imbalance and resilience. First launched in 1991, my doctoral dissertation study , “A World Community of Old Trees: Ecology Art Education Online” is recognized as the pioneering research project to utilize the Web for data collection and dissemination. Ecology collaborations have included “Arroyo as Metaphor”, a United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management water erosion abatement project in the high desert of New Mexico, Archaeology & Art climate change research in Scotland sponsored by The Explorers Club, and numerous ecology art projects in virtual worlds. I am the Founder and Director of Art Intendo, curating collaborative projects for the greater good. As the Creative Director of Diamond Archaeology, I have collaborated on several international award winning projects with archaeologist Rodrick B. MacLennan. We are currently partnering on a Landscape Archaeology project to be exhibited during the 2026 Venice Biennale.
