Statement
I am a community- and environmentally- focused public artist and also maintain a modest solo-studio practice. In my public work I facilitate arts engagement, cultural planning, public art, and placemaking projects. I choose to focus my work within my local community and surrounding region, working in direct response to invitations from community partners and clients, bringing stakeholders and relevant experts together in the design and implementation of public art that enlivens, revitalizes, and beautifies public spaces. My projects are designed to increase awareness of social and environmental issues, foster dialogue and inclusion, and promote healing and community engagement.
